If you're lucky enough to have recently purchased a used bus, or you're planning to buy one soon, you'll find that there are many options for putting one to good use. It doesn't matter if it's just a side project you're doing for fun, or an investment for a new business idea, you'll be able to let your imagination run wild as you repurpose your used bus.

If you've watched television or browsed the internet at some point in the last 10 years, you've probably seen examples of people repurposing old buses. Due to their large size, they can be gutted and made into something completely new. Here are some creative ways you can repurpose a used bus:

Driving businesses

If you don't want to completely reconstruct your used bus, you could simply fix it up and use it for a driving business. Some good ideas for a driving business would include a charter service, or a tour bus company. You could drive large groups of people to their destinations, or show them around your area—focusing on interesting locations.

Customized camper

Due to their mobility and large size, many people transform old buses into mobile campers. When the seats of the bus are removed, you are left with a blank space that can be set up and designed to your liking.

Stationary living space

If you purchase a used bus that is no longer drivable, and you don't plan on changing that, you can use it to make a stationary living space on your property. This living space could either be used in addition to your home (possibly a guest house), or as a tiny home that sits on its own separate plot.

Food truck

If you have the means to handle all of the alterations, a used bus would make a great food truck. Due to their large size, they offer plenty of space for all of the tools and equipment necessary for you to make and serve food.

Diner, or another stationary business

You'll find that even buses that no longer run can be put to good use. Rather than building from the ground up, you could start with the used bus to build a diner, offices, or a location for some other type of business.

Décor

Another option for putting a used bus to good use is to chop it down into smaller pieces and use them to make furniture and other home décor. With a little imagination and ingenuity, you could create some unique items that will make for great conversation pieces.
